On the question of late bloomers i have to say that can happen but at some point you need to have some talent if you are going to stay inspired . As for me just to show that under the right conditions and circumstance late bloomers can succeed I have been an artist from age 6 all i wanted to do was draw things and then I began painting too. From then on my life became concerned with other more mundane events sport family children work and everything else if you get my drift .However getting older proved not a bad thing at all .It gave me time and things to learn and enjoy. At age 70 I took up guitar and two years ago { i am now 78 i began singing} without any lessons I am now a Solo performer writing my own songs and performing covers of Willie Nelson John Denver KK and so on and playing with a band most weeks.
Also i am now into my 3rd novel for 2019. Previous ‘Creeping Shadows’ 2015 and ‘Distant Echoes’ 2017
No title yet for third novel. Again no lessons , just inspiration and the discipline to succeed not an easy thing to do by the way .But it can be done and there is a sense of achievement and satisfaction .
Now i am not trying to be some Guru because that doesn’t fit . But I like to think i can encourage others to expand their creativeness and also succeed. And by the way you could read in my novels that i never attended primary or secondary schools learned English by listening and observing made false claims to enter University and gained my BA in Psychology and a raft of other qualifications .So never say no. Just do it. Im very happy to answer any questions.
